40% of Brazilian Youth Live in Poverty

A report by the Fundação Abrinq and the Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE) found that in 2015, 17.3 million Brazilian children between the ages of 0 and 14 lived in low income municipalities. This number constitutes 40% of the population in that age range.
