Mexican Artist Creates Sculptures in Rome in Response to Refugee Crisis

Mexican artist Gustavo Aceves has installed 40 sculptures in symbolic areas of Rome as a dynamic response to the emergency migratory crisis affecting European countries.

Aceves has called the exhibition, titled Lapidarium, “a work in progress” and, beginning in 2017, it will be traveling through a number of other cities as well, including Venice, Paris, Istanbul and Mexico City.
