Bolivia’s Museo Nacional de Arte is hosting a retrospective homage dedicated to the work of renowned artist Víctor Zapana Serna. Serna, who died in 1997, is known as one of the world’s most eminent practitioners of traditional Bolivian sculpture, and the new exhibit is meant not only to honor his work but also to underscore the labors of the many anonymous stone craftsmen whose work has left an indelible impact on the country.
