Cuban Writer Says Fellow Cubans Should Forget Old Grievances

Cuban novelist Pedro Juan Gutiérrez, author of the infamous Dirty Havana Trilogy among other works, is of the opinion that his country is undergoing a gradual process of modernization in which “little by little, things are getting easier,” although he insists that Cubans urgently need to forget the “resentments and hatreds” of the past in order for the process to be successful in the long term.
